Finished piecing the borders this afternoon - they are different than I originally planned. Actually, this didn't turn out like I thought it would but it's okay. The blue and green batik one is ready for the borders now and I am liking that one a lot. This is just the right size for a nice little tabletopper - and it is cheery! If I can find some deep turquoise rickrack (or red would work, also) I will sew that along the seamline between the body of the quilt and the border. (Click to enlarge)
Tomorrow is the first of February - even January flew by. I don't think it got above freezing the entire month. We certainly have our fair share of snow! Spring will come, though.
